Weekend and bank holiday GP appointments over Easter
GP appointments can be booked at one of Waltham Forest’s three Enhanced GP Service hubs over the holiday period.
On Easter Saturday, appointments can be booked at the hubs in Chingford and Leytonstone between 10am and 4pm and in Walthamstow from 8am to 8pm.
On Easter Monday, appointments can be booked at the Leytonstone Enhanced GP Hub from 10am to 8pm.
As the hubs and telephone booking line will be closed on both Good Friday (14 April) and Easter Sunday (16 April), residents who feel they cannot wait until the following day to see a GP, should call NHS 111, where they will be advised on the most appropriate health care service for them.
Appointments can only be booked by calling 020 8519 3999 between 12 noon and 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Dr Anwar Khan, Chair of NHS Waltham Forest Clinical Commissioning Group said: “Although no one may wish to see a GP over the Easter holiday, we know that there will be people who will need to.
“If you are in need of medical help on Good Friday or Easter Sunday though, please do not hesitate to call 111, as the hubs will be closed on these days.”
More information on evening and weekend GP appointments, and Easter opening hours, is available on the NHS Waltham Forest Clinical Commissioning Group website.
